MARQUETTE -- The Marquette City Police Department responded to a call regarding two men dressed in black going through backyards at around 4 a.m. on Tuesday.

The call came from the Shiras Hills area of Marquette.  Police officers followed the two men and eventually determined that they were attempting to go through cars in the neighborhood.

The police officers identified themselves, and a short foot chase resulted in the arrest of the two men.

Residents of Shiras Hills are being asked to double check their vehicles.  If you believe items were stolen, please contact the Marquette City Police Department at (906) 228-0400.
