TROUT CREEK -- Two people are recovering after a car-motorcycle crash in Ontonagon County.

According to the Ontonagon County Sheriff's Department, this happened Monday afternoon at 4:43 p.m. on Calderwood Road near South Agate Road in Trout Creek.

A vehicle driven Stephanie Depew of Trout Creek crossed the centerline and went into the path of an oncoming motorcycle.  After hitting the shoulder of the road, her vehicle went into the ditch and fell onto its side.  It landed on the driver's side.

At first, it was feared that Depew was trapped in the vehicle, but she managed to get out on her own.

Depew was taken to Aspirus Ontonagon by Sonco North Ambulance for treatment.

The motorcyclist, Robert Wilhelm of Gilberts, Illinois, received minor injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.

Trout Creek and Bruce Crossing Fire Departments assisted at the scene.
