MARQUETTE -- Friends and colleagues of Steve Powers wished him well at a farewell party Thursday.
    
Powers will be leaving his position as Marquette County Administrator on September 8 after 15 years of service.
    
County employees, commissioners, and service organizations that Powers has worked with over the years all came out to say goodbye.
    
Powers will start as Ann Arbor's city administrator on September 15.
