NEGAUNEE TOWNSHIP -- One person suffered minor injuries from a two car collision on U.S. 41 in Negaunee Township.

The driver of a blue Pontiac G6, 50-year-old Jan Dobson of Negaunee, was injured as they exited SEMCO gas on U.S. 41 crossing two lanes and was broadsided by a Pontiac Torrent, driven by 19-year-old Mary Juntunen of Ishpeming.  Juntunen and her passenger, 26-year-old Amanda Marek of Marquette, were uninjured in the crash.

Dobson had to be extricated by Negaunee Township Fire Department's jaws of life and was taken to Marquette General Hospital by Bell ambulance for treatment.  She was cited for failure to yield the right of way.

The Marquette County Sheriff's Department and the Michigan State Police also assisted at the scene.
