MARQUETTE -- The Marquette City Elections Board accepted the nominating petitions for the Charter Review Commission.
There are 13 candidates for the nine member commission. They'll appear on the November ballot.
The candidates are Tom Baldini, Robert Berube, Sara Cambensy, Martha Conley, Michael Coyne, Martha Haynes, Cameron Howes, Taylor Klipp, Robert Kulischeck, Lynn Laakso, Cornelia Mazzuchi, Don Potvin and Tom Tourville.
The Marquette City Charter hasn't been revised in 50 years, and newer federal and state laws conflict with many of the charter's provisions.
