Marquette Township street closes for several months

Werner Street closed for construction

MARQUETTE -- A residential Marquette Township street will be closed for the next couple of months for road construction.

On Monday morning, the Marquette County Road Commission closed Werner Street from Ontario Avenue to Meeske Avenue.

It'll be closed until the end of October, tentatively.

During the closure, through traffic will be detoured using Ontario Avenue, West Fair Avenue, north McClellan Avenue, Washington Street, and Meeske Avenue.
