Many of the artists closed their booths early Saturday afternoon due to the threat of severe weather
MARQUETTE -- This year the event had two new features, shuttles between Lower Harbor and Marquette's downtown and an expanded children's section.
The 53rd year for the juried art show featured 190 artists from all over the country.
The event is put on by the Lake Superior Art Association.
Visiting vendors say they appreciate the organization of the art show.
"We have friends up here, so it's a great vacation. We stay the week and then we go from here to a Suttons Bay's show near Traverse City and the U.P.'s great!" says Miles Stearn, a ceramic artist from Berkley, Michigan.
In his fourth year at the show, Miles adds that his success depends every year; he says that this year seemed to be down in both sales and attendance.
