MARQUETTE -- A Marquette business is aiming to help a family in need this winter with a free new furnace.

Hudson Mechanical in Harvey is partnering with Lennox Heating and Cooling for Heat UP Wisconsin to provide a free furnace to a family in Marquette and surrounding counties throughout the U.P. and Wisconsin.

Last year, Lennox provided 72 furnaces and they hope to give away 100 this year.

Hudson Mechanical will provide installation for a family in Marquette County, just in time for the cold winter months.

"It gets us involved, and our crew, in helping a needy family, you know, keeping our neighbors well heated," said Hudson Sales Manager Matt Greer.  "It always feels good to help a family in need, especially when you're so closely knitted like you are in Marquette County."

If you know someone that needs a new furnace, you can submit their name, contact information and a message why they deserve the furnace to the Heat UP Wisconsin website.

There is only one furnace given away per county.
