LITTLE LAKE -- Recently the Full Throttle bar in Little Lake held a benefit for UPAWS as part of their Thursday Night Bike Night.

Bike Night is a weekly event where motorcycle enthusiasts gather at the Full Throttle or Up North Lodge and raise money for various organizations and causes.  Participants purchased raffle tickets then placed them into buckets next to items they wanted; if their name was drawn, they won that item.

Prizes included camping gear, a motorcycle cleaning kit, and even a hand-painted long board donated to UPAWS.

"It's a nice excuse for people to get together that have something in common--riding motorcycles and raising money for these different organizations," said Full Throttle bar owner Scott Searle.  "It's pretty rewarding and it's something fun to do and the organizations really appreciate it.  A lot of them could really use the money."

The next Thursday Night Bike Night will be at the Up North Lodge in Gwinn and will benefit ABATE of Central U.P.
