ISHPEMING -- The City of Ishpeming Department of Public Works is working on repairing a water main leak on Empire Street, between First and Maple Streets.
Public Works plans to have service restored before midnight on Friday. A water boil advisory has been issued for the City of Ishpeming Water Utility customers in the affected area.
The area affected by the advisory are Empire Street from Pine Street to Second Street, Michigan Street to Second Street, and North First, North Main and North Maple Streets.
The advisory will remain in effect for at least 48 hours after service is restored.
