ONTONAGON -- A Rockland man is heading to jail for an accident that resulted in him hitting a pedestrian.

Aaron Killoran entered a guilty plea to failure to stop at the scene of an accident resulting in serious injury or death.

This stems back to an incident in January of 2009 in which an Ontonagon man was hit on the walkway near the Cane Court housing complex.

On Tuesday, Killoran was sentenced to six months in jail and 18 months probation.  He also plead guilty to driving without a license and will have to pay fines for that offense.
