IRON MOUNTAIN -- The operator of a motorcycle, 21-year-old Dennis Alan Brzoznowski of Iron Mountain, is dead after a high speed chase on M-95 near Iron Mountain.
Troopers from the Michigan State Police observed Brzoznowski on a motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed on M-95, south of the Wells Grade Road, at 9:00 a.m. Sunday.
The troopers attempted to stop Brzoznowski, but he fled police, leading to a short pursuit.
The trooper lost sight of Brzoznowski just north of the intersection between M-95 and M-69, according to authorities.
Brzoznowski and his motorcycle were both found a short while later on the shoulder of M-95, just south of M-69.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
This crash is still under investigation.
