NEGAUNEE TOWNSHIP -- A local theatre group was able to showcase their talent in a naturally beautiful landscape last Thursday.

At the Carp River Gardens, Lake Superior Theater held the Lightkeeper event which included musical performances like Guys on Ice and Willy Wonka Junior.

"We usually have a couple of events a year," said local performer Bobby Glenn Brown.  "One is the annual Fish Boil, which, this year, happens on July 25.  But we try to do something special in the community each summer, and this year, the guys here at Carp River Gardens gave us the opportunity to host a special fund-raiser for Lake Superior Theatre here, in amongst all of their beautiful flowers."

Lake Superior Theatre is an award-winning, non-profit organization.  They hold performances at the Frazier Boathouse.

The season starts soon, and if you're interested in tickets, please call (906) 227-7625.
