MARQUETTE -- In the past two months, the American Red Cross has responded to more than 40 disasters around the country, helping people devastated by tornadoes, floods, and wildfires.

Tuesday at Culver's locations nationwide, including here in the U.P., 10 percent of all sales will be donated to those relief efforts.

Culver's has partnered with the Red Cross before.

Tuesday's Day of Giving will allow people locally to reach out to those affected elsewhere.

"Those particular services include meals, snacks, cleanup kits, sheltering; we are still sheltering people and obviously there's ongoing sheltering where the flooding is continuing to happen," said Renee Wyatt, Executive Director of U.P. Red Cross.  "So those are the types of programs and services that this will provide across the country where people have been affected."

If you missed the Day of Giving, you can still donate at the Marquette Culver's location through the month of June.  There are collection canisters at each register.
