He's accused of robbing a cab driver at knifepoint

IRON MOUNTAIN -- An Iron Mountain man, charged with armed robbery, learned his trial date Tuesday in Dickinson County Circuit Court.

Adam Anthony Gilbert's three-day trial is scheduled to begin September 14.

After receiving a taxi ride from Escanaba to Iron Mountain, the 25-year-old allegedly held up the driver at knifepoint.

An undisclosed amount of money was stolen.

Gilbert is being charged as a third time habitual offender meaning, if found guilty, he could face life in prison.
