MUNISING -- The Central U.P. Tourism Information Center is open for its second season after a strong first year.  The center offers a variety of services, from information and maps to ticket and room reservations.

In its first year, 10,000 people visited the tourism center.  Owners were pleasantly surprised and are enjoying their recognition as the 'concierge' of the area.  They've already got big plans for the upcoming season.

"We've got more artists that are coming in, just information about the area, so those are, you know, we're just going to continue what we're doing, and it's working so we get great reviews from tourists stopping in," said owner Brenda Kelley.

The Central U.P. Tourism Information Center opened on Memorial Day.  It'll be open seven days a week, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. or later, until the second week of October.

For more information, you can visit the center's website.
