IRON MOUNTAIN -- It has been a difficult spring throughout the Midwest for storms, tornados and disasters, and now the primary relief agency is asking for your help.
This weekend the American Red Cross is hosting the seventh annual Ride for Red event at the Hitch-N-Post in Aurora, Wisconsin.
The event is one of the primary fund-raisers for the Red Cross and will include food, music, and a silent auction.
All the money raised will go towards disaster relief locally.
"The Red Cross operates on donations only, and this fund-raiser is for our local disaster relief which, most times, is like house fires and things like that to help families out," said Red Cross volunteer John Wilson.
The ride is Saturday at the Hitch-N-Post in Aurora. Registration is $10 and begins at 10 a.m. Central.
