MANISTIQUE -- Two people are jailed for allegedly stealing things from the Manistique Senior Center.

On Saturday, public safety officers arrested a 22-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman on several felony charges related to their investigation into the thefts.

The investigation started on April 21 when supervisors with the Manistique Senior Center reported the theft of cash and lotto gaming tickets.  Thefts continued sporadically until May 14, when the suspects were arrested.

A warranted search of two residences recovered stolen lottery tickets, as well as a laptop which belongs to the center.

The names of those arrested have not been released pending their arraignment.

The man faces five felony charges, and the woman, one felony charge.

Bond has not been set for the pair.
