MARQUETTE -- Update: 6:55 a.m. EST
The cause of an early morning fire in Marquette is still under investigation.
One person was in the house at the time of the fire and was able to flee and avoid injury.
The Marquette City Fire Department responded to a 911 dispatch at the location, 621 Brule Road. They found a fire on two floors, the basement and a first floor bedroom.
The amount of damage to the structure is unknown, but fire crews reported moderate damage in the interior of the home.
"We're overhauling, finding all the hotspots," says Marquette City Fire Chief Tom Belt. "We're also ventilating the structure, getting set up for the investigation. We haven't began the investigation; that'll start here, real quick."

An early morning fire has caused extensive damage to a Marquette home.
The Marquette City Fire Department was called to 621 Brule Rd. at approximately 4:25 Monday morning.
Preliminary reports say the fire originated in the laundry room of the residence.
The Marquette City Fire Department expects to release more details later.
