Meals for seniors in Chocolay Township Hall

HARVEY -- Chocolay Township seniors will soon have the chance to get a good meal and some good company.

AMCAB will now be providing lunch to seniors in Chocolay Township Hall starting this Wednesday.  The meals will happen every second Wednesday of the month.

In addition to the meals, U.P. Home Health Hospice will also be providing free medical screenings for blood pressure and other health issues.

The meal will be served at noon and will include cake, coffee, and special guests in celebration of the new location.

"It is a chance for people to get out and socialize," said Lori Stephens-Brown, AMCAB Nutrition Services Director, "meet their neighbors and see who else is in the community and just getting out and getting a little more active."

Reservations must be made by Tuesday at 2 p.m.  For more information, you can all AMCAB at (906) 228-6522 extension 302.
