The Superiorland Ski Club bike and kayak swap is also a fund-raiser
MARQUETTE -- In a bad economy, people are always looking for a good deal, and they didn't have to look too far Sunday.
The Superiorland Ski Club held their bike and kayak swap at the Marquette National Guard Armory.
They welcomed bikes, kayaks, and other related equipment. People could bring them in to be sold, and patrons were able to try out and buy whatever they liked.
The Superiorland Ski Club charged a commission on the items sold to profit their annual programs.
"People are looking for things that are in good condition and things that they might want to try out," says club secretary Kara Graci. "We have winter bikes here, snow bikes, mountain bikes, cycle cross bikes, kayaks, kids bikes. There's everything you could think of here."
The club encourages everyone to become a club member to avoid waiting in long lines at the swap.
