CRYSTAL FALLS -- As the snow gives way to sunshine and orange cones, MDOT is informing the public of what to expect this construction season.
In a meeting Wednesday afternoon in Crystal Falls, officials discussed different projects across the central and western U.P.
Some of those projects are already underway, like the replacement of the Menominee River Bridge in Dickinson County. Others will begin this summer, like the $1.5 million resurfacing project on US-2 near Crystal Falls.
This is one of three meetings MDOT is holding to update residents on upcoming projects.
“We go to great lengths to make sure the public is aware of everything we've got planned, and we've been informing them a little bit more often now on our website,” said MDOT Communications Representative James Lake. “But we still come out here for these meetings to make sure everyone's informed.”
