First Presbyterian posts their sermon online
MARQUETTE -- Christians across the Upper Peninsula gathered to celebrate Easter Sunday, what many consider the most joyous day of the year.
At Marquette's First Presbyterian Church, a congregation celebrated the holiday with spiritual hymns.
Easter marks the New Testament story of Jesus Christ's crucifixion and resurrection; a promise of life after death.
"Jesus Christ has risen today, and this is the most important event in the life of the church," said Elder Susan DeJong. "Jesus died for our sins and he rose from the dead today, and our sins are forgiven."
The First Presbyterian Church just started something new; they're recording their sermons and posting them to the web, so if you're a Christian and couldn't make it to an Easter service Sunday, visit First Presbyterian's website to hear Reverend Nick Cammarata's sermon.
