MARQUETTE -- Through Rotary International, the Marquette Rotary is host to a group study exchange.
Five visitors from Japan have the opportunity to tour the community. They plan to see the Peter White Public Library, Getz's, and many other sites in Marquette.
On Friday morning, they received a private tour of the Maritime Museum in Marquette, where they learned more about the history of the community.
Marquette Rotarian Dan Kill says their visit is mutually beneficial.
"It's important for them, I think, to get a view of how we do things so they can take some of our best practices back and apply them to what they're doing," said Kill. "And at the same time, the hope is we get something as well from what we can pick up from them."
The visitors will be leaving early next week.
