The group sang the sounds of the Easter season at NMU
MARQUETTE -- Many would say the sounds of the seasons are best heard by the Marquette Choral Society, a group of singers from across Marquette County.
On Sunday they performed at the Reynolds Recital Hall of Northern Michigan University. The society performs around Easter and Christmas each year because they believe that choral music is sacred.
"This is live, acoustic music presented by people that you buy gas with and work with: your friends and neighbors. So that's a unique experience," said Robert Engelhart from the NMU music department.
After the spring concerts, the choral society begins rehearsals in September for their December shows. They encourage all singers to participate in the Marquette Choral Society. Contact the NMU music department by visiting their website.
