Three men sentenced for home invasion

SCHOOLCRAFT COUNTY -- Sentencing has been handed down against three Newberry men who pled guilty to charges in connection with a home break-in in Schoolcraft County.

Brian Blakely pled guilty to breaking and entering with intent to commit a larceny.  He was sentenced to 12 months in the county jail, serving seven months immediately, and 12 months probation.

His son, Ryan Blakely, received a nine month jail sentence, six months of which will be served immediately with 12 months probation.

Cody Blakely was sentenced to six months in the county jail, serving 90 days within the next 180 days, or on order of the court.  He also has a 24-month probation.

All three were assessed $1,462 in fines and costs and have five days jail credit.
