Vote for your favorite fish fry of our top five
ALPHA -- When we called The Village Inn to tell them they were in our top five, they thought it was an April Fool's joke.
The Village Inn may be the smallest fish fry operation in our competition, but don't let their size fool you. Customers say their fish fry is full of flavor.
The chef uses fresh, flaky cod, which gets tossed in their top secret dry batter recipe and then deep fried until it's the perfect shade of golden brown.
The fish is then served up in a basket with red potatoes, coleslaw, tartar sauce, and a dinner roll.
"I have repeat customers. This is where they come if they want their fish, and if they have company coming up, they bring them over here," says Everett Braden, owner of The Village Inn.
