NEWBERRY -- A 14-year-old juvenile, taken into custody on Wednesday morning, has taken responsibility for four vehicles stolen around Newberry, according to Michigan State Police.

During the pursuit, the juvenile was seen running a stop sign at a high rate of speed, then crashed the car after failing to negotiate a turn.  A van was located after it had left the road and hit some trees, and a third vehicle, a pickup truck, was located in a ditch.

The juvenile suspect admitted to a fourth vehicle, which police did not know about, as well as several larcenies from vehicles throughout the Village of Newberry.

The complaints against the individual have been handed over to the Luce County Prosecutor for review.
