MARQUETTE -- It was mountain bike mania at the Marquette Mountain ski hill Sunday afternoon when 20 racers took to the slopes.

The racers ranged in age from 13 to 25.  And there were two races taking place:  the downhill and the bike cross.

The racers said conditions on the hill were a little bit icy, which made it difficult for them to steer and stop on a dime.  But everyone seemed to have a good time despite the less than perfect course.

"It's just something to do; it gets the heart pumping and it's just adrenaline," said racer, Casey L'Huillier.

A cash prize and trophies were among the awards for first, second and third place in the advanced category.
