IRONWOOD TOWNSHIP -- Two wolves were killed in Ironwood Township after they had been frequenting the residential area.

As part of the Endangered Species Act, wildlife agencies are allowed to remove wolves if there is a non-immediate threat to human life.

When it comes to the removal of wolves, there are two options according to Department of Natural Resources officials:  trapping and killing.

Brian Roell from the DNR says that the two wolves were part of a pack and the animals are highly territorial, so destroying them was the best option.

Question of the day:  Should the wolves have been trapped and moved from Ironwood Township or destroyed?

Vote in the poll below and leave a comment.  We'll show some of the comments on the TV6 Early News at 6 p.m. EST.
