EWEN -- A published report says that the Ewen-Trout Creek Board of Education did not extend the contract of Superintendent James Rayner or Principal Paul Healey.

The vote ran 4 to 3.

Rayner's employment will end June 30, 2011.  Healey had a two year rolling contract, and his contract will not expire until June 30, 2012.

The board decided to post the position with the Michigan Association of School Administrators.
