MARQUETTE -- Elizabeth's Chop House shared some recipe secrets with members of the Northern Center for Lifelong Learning Wednesday afternoon.

Acclaimed Executive Chef and owner, Tom Wahlstrom, taught about 40 locals, who never want to stop learning, a recipe for a tasty treat...a grilled salmon salad.

He hopes his students took more away from his class than just a delicious lunch and salad recipe.

"The main message here is just to have fun with this and to have fun with food," said Wahlstrom.  "We picked the vinaigrette and the salad topic because it's healthy, it's inexpensive, and if you are going to play around and you screw it up, it's no big deal; it's a little bit of oil and some vinegar."

The class cost $15 for Northern Center for Learning members and $18 for non-members.

Wahlstrom hopes to hold more classes in the future.
