After a pretty wild end to the weekend (Thunder snow AND thunderstorms?  Yep!), we've seen a much quieter start to both this work week and the season of spring.  Temperatures held in the 30s this past evening, and it's generally just cloudy across the U.P.

However, things will be changing moving through the rest of the week.

A storm, currently in the Rockies and rather disorganized, will pull together in the northern plains states tomorrow and swing south of Upper Michigan tomorrow evening.  This storm is providing a good chance for significant snow along the Wisconsin border, with at least six inches likely in those spots.  There is, however, the potential for this storm to bring a good amount of snow all across the U.P.-- as much as a foot or more along the southwestern counties and solid accumulations north as well.

The big wild card is an area of high pressure to our north and the drier air underneath it.  Should that dry air edge across Lake Superior and into the U.P., it will hold the snow for most (save for those along the Wisconsin border) at bay.  If it doesn't, the snowier scenario could prevail Tuesday night and into Wednesday.

We'll be keeping a close eye on this storm as it approaches, and no matter what happens with this storm, the end of the week will be on the chilly side.  Check out the weather page for the full details.
