DELTA AND MENOMINEE COUNTY -- The Public Health Clinic for Delta and Menominee Counties is kicking off its first smoking cessation event on Tuesday.
National Kick Butts Day is Wednesday, and organizers are hoping their kick start event encourages people to give up smoking.
It'll be held at the community services center.
But the displays aren't just for people looking to break the habit. There's also information on tenant and landlord rights for smoke-free housing.
"I would like anyone who has an interest in quitting, who wants support in quitting, or needs more information on resources that are in the community," said Event Coordinator, Shanna Hammond. "There are resources out there for them. There are people who want to support them."
There will also be a registered nurse who'll talk about a free quit-smoking class.
