ROCK -- The community of Rock gathered Saturday for a talent show at the Mid Peninsula School.  Singing, dancing, and playing instruments were the most common performances.

There were 25 acts in the talent show, and community members, young and old, were encouraged to either watch or participate.

Organizers say the main objective of the show was to allow children in the community a chance to perform in front of a large audience.

"It's always fun to showcase your talents, and you know in a small community, everybody comes out to watch this, so you know we have kids here that you know didn't know that could play the guitar or play the piano, and it's just fun for them to be able to showcase that," said Show Coordinator, Delores Englund.

Two-hundred-fifty people turned out to watch the show.
