NEGAUNEE -- Negaunee teachers have filed an unfair labor practice charge against the district's superintendent and the school board.
According to those with the union, they claim the Negaunee Board of Education failed to negotiate a contract in good faith.
They say a committee came to a tentative agreement, but when it was brought to the full board, they did not recommend approval.
The complaint now goes to the Michigan Employment Relations Commission. That could take some time.
The 81 teachers continue to work under the terms of the old contract which expired last September.
