LSCP Academy program stops in TV6 studio
MARQUETTE COUNTY -- They say to get to know a community, you have to get to know the media. That was the focus of today's Lake Superior Community Partnership Academy program. One of the group's stops was at TV6.
The Academy is a program that exposes registered students to various sectors of the community, and they say the media is a crucial part of making the whole community work together.
"We wanted good cross-section of media in the community, so we're visiting TV stations, the radio, both commercial and public," says Media Day Chair Kristie Evans.
"It kind of helps round out the rest of the aspects of what we've seen in our community," says class member Barbara Meyer. "Because without media, we wouldn't be able communicate all of the things we've seen in Education day, Justice day and Government day."
