Temperatures in the single digits above and below zero greeted many in Upper Michigan this morning.  However, as the sun rises over the area, readings are rebounding on their way to more seasonable highs.

After yesterday's official high topped out at 18 degrees (11 degrees below average), the milder air will be a welcome change.  Sunshine, along with southerly winds, which will develop through the afternoon, will help temperatures along in rising into the mid to upper 20s across the UP.  Even overnight lows figure to be more tolerable, bottoming out in the mid teens tonight and into tomorrow morning.

As southerly winds increase tomorrow high temperatures will be even warmer, hitting the low 30s.

Changes are on the way, however.  Those winds will be increasing ahead of a cold front, which will start to push more clouds in during the day on Wednesday.  Some light snow showers and flurries are possible overnight and into Thursday, and colder air will push into place by the end of the week.
