MARQUETTE -- The parole violation hearing for a Hancock man who was once connected to a fatal fire did not happen Monday as scheduled.

Two juries were unable to reach a verdict to either convict or acquit Ronald Kemppainen of murder and arson charges.  However, he is still in the Marquette Branch Prison on a parole violation.

A parole violations panel was to hear his case Monday, but that did not happen.  It has been rescheduled for March 1.  The reason for the change was not released.
