ONTONAGON -- Three people were arrested over the weekend for an alleged assault in Ontonagon County.
According to the Ontonagon County Sheriff's Department, the victim came in to their offices on Saturday around 6 p.m. The alleged victim was covered in blood and told deputies that the assault was done by a 17-year-old suspect. The victim claimed that the teen hit him with some sort of weapon.
Deputies arrested the 17 year old, and charged him with aggravated assault less than murder. He is currently being held on a probation violation.
In the course of their investigation, two women were also taken into custody.
An 18-year-old woman was arrested for domestic assault and simple assault. She remains jailed on a $5,000 bond.
They also took a 37-year-old woman into custody, charging her with domestic assault. She was released after posting bond.
Names have not been released pending arraignments. Further details are expected at that time.
