Annual party held at U.P. Children's Museum
MARQUETTE -- It was all hearts and sweets Thursday at the U.P. Children's Museum for the annual Valentine's Party.
Kids were able to make Valentines, decorate cookies, and play Valentine-themed games. Thursday's activities were geared for preschool and elementary-aged children. But they weren't the only ones having fun...volunteers made sure they were having a blast, too.
"There's candy cane ice cream, and they keep feeding it to me. I think they're trying to make me fat," said volunteer Savannah Poole.
Emily Canoot was also enjoying herself at the party. "Seeing the smiles on kid's faces, having fun, helping out, and it's cool because we can hang out here and it reminds you of being a kid, too. Like kid's day."
And if you weren't able to make to the party on Thursday, the Children's Museum will be hosting a Valentine's Day cookie decorating party this Sunday from noon until five.
