President to arrive at 11:45 a.m., depart at 3 p.m.
MARQUETTE -- Thursday will be a very busy day for WLUC, which will be covering the President's visit on three platforms--TV6, FOX UP, and uppermichiganssource.com, as well as Facebook and Twitter.
On the TV6 Morning News, Nikki Davidson will provide three updates on the very latest on the President's visit.
At around 11, Natalie Jovonovich will be ready with live shots from Sawyer International Airport, waiting for the arrival of Air Force One. We'll show it live when the plane lands and the President emerges from the plane.
Kelly Gibbs will provide live shots after noontime from the campus of NMU, gauging the mood of the students, and also letting us know where the President is and what he's doing.
At around 1 p.m., Noel McLaren will take us inside Vandament Arena in advance of the President's speech. Shortly after that, we will take the President's speech live.
And then at around 3 p.m., we will show you, live, the President departing on Air Force One.
Of course, we'll have extensive coverage of Obama's day in Marquette on the Early News, TV6 News Tonight, FOX UP News, and the Late News.
Just as important as our on-air coverage, though, will be our minute-by-minute coverage of the President's visit on the Website, on Facebook, and on Twitter. We'll have reporters stationed throughout the Marquette area, and they'll be filing several reports, with pictures, every hour.
And we fully expect our viewers and visitors to be sharing their experiences, opinions, and pictures during the day on our Website, Facebook and Twitter. We're depending on you to help us out.
uppermichiganssource.com will also be streaming the President's speech live, and the Website will also have a live chat open all day, welcoming you to express your views with your neighbors about this extraordinary day in Marquette.
