MARQUETTE -- Reaching your 100th birthday is a milestone for anyone. But for Marquette resident, Grace Magnaghi, it was a personal goal that she reached Tuesday.
About five years ago, Grace suffered a series of mini strokes. After a serious case of pneumonia left her virtually bedridden, her son Russ took her to Motions for a personal training session.
Starting out at just two days a week for 30 minutes, now Grace trains five days a week.
When she first came to Motions, she said all she wanted was to reach her 100th birthday.
"If I do it, you can do it," said Grace.
"Helping her walk again, watching her dance with her son, and now knowing that her last goal--and her most important goal--was to hit 100 and to be here with her and to experience this, it's huge," said Personal Trainer, Mike Koskiniemi.
Grace's workouts are kept fun. Tuesday, she got her birthday wish of dancing with her trainer Mike and her son, Russ.
