The 37th annual Sagola Township Sportsmen's Club Tip-Up Town of the U.P. was underway Saturday
SAGOLA -- It was an event complete with food, drinks, music and what else...snowmobiling.
Close to 200 snowmobilers showed up to participate in the winter fun. The event was open to the public with a four dollar admission fee.
Fifteen additional dollars were charged to enter the snowmobile races. The only regulation--participants needed to be certified to drive a snowmobile.
"Well, it's quite a get-together; people come from all over Wisconsin, Indiana, downstate, and it's quite a challenge. You know, we're all sportsmen, and this is part of our yearly event that we all get together," says member Mike Delbridge. "A lot of work goes into this, and I think the outcome is a pleasure for everybody, young and old alike."
There were about fifty snowmobile races total Saturday. Trophies and cash prizes were awarded to the winners.
