LANSING -- Governor Rick Snyder is making good on a campaign pledge to give voters an easy-to-understand way to learn how their tax dollars are being spent.
Snyder is to unveil the new tool Monday afternoon at a summit on the state's fiscal health.
The group, Business Leaders for Michigan, is sponsoring the summit at the Radisson Hotel in Lansing.
The governor told reporters on Saturday that the new tool will be "in plain English" and contain "text and some good graphics." It is intended to help taxpayers better understand where their money goes and what it supports.
Snyder hopes local governments and school districts adopt something similar.
