LANSING -- The latest statewide poll indicates that Michigan voters like both their new governor, Rick Snyder, and President Barack Obama.
The Lansing-based EPIC-MRA poll shows that Governor Snyder has a 59 percent favorable rating, with only 8 percent unfavorable. Thirty-three percent were undecided.
President Obama had a 53 percent favorable rating, with 40 percent unfavorable and 7 percent undecided.
Obama's job rating, as opposed to him personally, was not as positive--45 percent positive, 54 percent negative, 1 percent undecided.
The poll of likely voters was conducted in the last week for the Detroit Free Press and four TV stations.
