MARQUETTE -- It's not unusual for prizes to be given away at a business after hours party, but one family that recently faced tragedy received much more.

Jon's Auto of Marquette presented the parents of Brooklyn Neal with a 2005 Town and Country van at the Holiday Inn Wednesday night.

Neal was the victim of a murder-suicide in Sawyer last month, leaving her parents to care for her four children.

The van was donated anonymously the day after the family visited the auto dealer looking for a van.

"They don't have a lot of money, so this was a huge godsend to get this van, and whoever it is, thank you so much for it.  It's greatly appreciated," said family member Lisa Miller.

The gift was a joint effort by Jon's Auto, Child and Family Services, and the Marquette County Community Foundation.
