MARQUETTE -- The holidays are almost over, and for many it's time to start thinking of a program to get in shape.  Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, along with the Wellness Council of the Upper Peninsula, are providing U.P. residents with the tenth annual Get Moving Challenge.

Participants can learn how to incorporate more activity into their daily lives through e-mails and newsletters and even win prizes.

The goal is to get residents active 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week.

"I felt it was a good jumpstart for the new year, and one of the things I liked are in the newsletters and the different helpful hints," said program participant Brenda Maddock.  "I enjoyed the one with the food."

Head to the Fit U.P. website if you're interested in registering for the eight-week program.
