BIG BAY -- The DNRE will be hosting its eighth annual winter weekend of Becoming an Outdoors Woman program this February.
Interested participants are encouraged to sign up as soon possible since space is limited for the camp.
The three-day workshop will be held February 25 through 27 at the Bay Cliff Health Camp in Big Bay.
The program costs $175 and includes meals, lodging, materials, and instruction in the various workshop classes.
"We'll have a few new classes this year," said coordinator Sharon Pitz, "because we have perennial gardening, power tools, and woodworking as some of our new classes, but we also have dog sledding and fly tying, outdoor cooking. There's several of them to choose from."
If you're interested in registering, you can call the DNRE office at (906) 228-6561.
The deadline is February 4 or when all the spots are filled.
