Munising man jailed for alleged assault

MUNISING -- A 31-year-old Munising man is in the Alger County Jail after allegedly assaulting a 33-year-old Munising man.

According to the Munising City Police Department, it happened sometime on Wednesday.
    
The man was charged two felony assaults, one count of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, and one county of felonious assault, assault with a dangerous weapon.  He faces a maximum 14 years in prison and $7,000 in fines.
    
The suspect is lodged in the Alger County Jail with a $50,000 bond.
    
No names are being released pending his arraignment.
